Set up in 1989 under the Rajiv Gandhi-Longowal Accord and named in memory of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, SLIET was accorded Deemed-to-be-University status in 2007-08 and is fully funded by the Government of India (Ministry of Education). Admission
