Overview
NIT Uttarakhand was established in 2009 under an Act of Parliament as one of the newer NITs granted Institute of National Importance status. It currently operates from a temporary/transit campus in Srinagar (Garhwal); a permanent 125-hectare campus at Sumari is under construction. Being a newer and smaller institute, it has a limited number of core B.Tech branches.
