Overview
Established in 1966 with UNESCO assistance as the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), the institute was renamed the National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (NIAMT) to reflect a broader manufacturing-technology mandate, and was granted Deemed-to-be-University status in February 2024.
