Established in 1939, CET is the oldest engineering college in Kerala (and the former Travancore State), run directly by the Government of Kerala and academically affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Admission
B.Tech admission is through KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) — a state entrance exam combined with Class 12 marks for merit rank — followed by Kerala state centralized allotment (CAP). There is no JoSAA/JEE Main route for the main state-quota B.Tech intake.
